Literature Text

In eyes, mouth, and clothes
Dry dust is everywhere. It blows
All directions and stays near,
I can barely tolerate this, Dear.

I cough and wheeze,
In the deadly breeze.
Inhale and exhaling it in,
I’m exhausted, letting Dust win.

In the air, so thick
This cloud, nothing does the trick.
All dresses filthy and hot,
Causing me to be thirsty no matter what.

They say it will clear up
And we’re so close we could jump
For joy. Tears of happiness
Replaces all of my moodiness.

We’ve arrived at last!
Getting clean was a blast,
No more treacherous dust…
Traveling no longer has my trust.
Well, the only good thing that comes out of doing "Scavenger Hunts" for American History is that I can do these kind of things. And our next project is to write 5 diary entries of our journey on the Oregon Trail. I'm in a group of five people. I'm the father, a craftsman, I have a daughter, sister, and mother and my wife is deceased. XD
